Jayne Danger

Today, I interviewed for and secured a summer internship with Living History Farms! For ten weeks, I’ll be conducting fittings and alterations for the volunteers who wear historical costumes on site. I’ll also be making costumes from scratch and acting as an interpreter myself. :) At least one day a week, I’ll act as a milliner (hat maker) in the wonderful, era-appropriate, furnished hat shop in their 1875 village. What a summer this will be! <3

Sorry for the lack of updates, guys! School has been crazy. Final projects in patternmaking and fashion illustration. Group projects in Cultural Perspectives and my Photoshop/Illustrator Fashion Applications class. I keep meaning to make this a more personal blog, instead of constantly reblogging things without meaning. A great, personal blog takes time to write though. It might have to wait until summer. ;)

In good news:
1. I was accepted into the London College of Fashion for a study abroad semester this fall! I’ll be living in an apartment in London with other students, but I’ll have 3-day weekends and one 2-week break during which I’ve been encouraged to travel around Europe. I already have plans to meet up with a couple Jayne Danger fans for lunch and tours of their favorites places. If anyone else wants to meet up, let me know!! I meet American fans all the time when I travel to conventions, but this will likely be the only time I travel Europe for many years!

I’ve already booked my flight. :) I’ll be there from August 21 - December 4. And yep, that means JayneDanger.com will be closed down during that time, so get your holiday orders is super early this year!! <3
